This castle has a history of over 1,400 years, and is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. In 1894 The castle as bought by William George Armstrong to house his unique collection of artwork, ceramic and objet d'art.
Banburgh Castle is in the North East of the UK just on the coast of Bamburgh. The Road that leads there is the B1340 also known as Links Road.
Home to the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS), they are a wildlife conservation charity. Edinburgh Zoo was opened in 1913 by Thomas Gillespie, a lawyer that founded the RZSS in 1909.
Edinburgh is in the South East of Scotland and the Zoo is in the West of Edinburgh. The Entrance to Edinburgh Zoo is along Corstorphine Road.
The first garden was created by the 1st duke of Northumberland Hugh Percy and then further developed by future dukes. The garden has plants from all over the world, in a closed off section, there is the poison garden with some of the most deadly plants from all over the world.
Alnwick Gardens is in the North East of England, and not too far from Bamburgh Castle. The Garden has a different entrance to the castle, however its not a long walk to the castle. The carpark is located on the other end of the B1340.
